Shimmy Kaufman is Director of Educational Programs for Israelis in Jerusalem. Originally from Monsey, New York, Shimmy was exposed to the beauty of Jewish outreach at a young age through his father, Chanan Kaufman, director of the Jerusalem Fellowships. Shimmy began studying at Aish HaTorah in 2001, at age 15, and built a close relationship as the personal assistant to Rabbi Noah Weinberg zt”l.
Rabbi Gavriel Rudin hails from Passaic, NJ. He received his Masters in Talmudic Law, along with his Rabbinic Ordination, from Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore. The Noroflk Kollel is a small group of motivated rabbis that aims to teach and inspire Jews of all affiliations and backgrounds in the greater Norfolk area. The Kollel hopes to use this opportunity to help create a vibrant and energetic Torah community in Norfolk, Virginia.

Sherman was born in Anaheim, California, and was raised in Riverside, California. At the age of 16 he was recruited by the University of California to participate in a young scientists research program. At this program Sherman worked in a National Institutes of Health-sponsored laboratory developing neurotransmitter sensors for brain research
